to the HBMC Website!Since 1978 the Huntington Beach Mother’s Club has operated and stayed true to our Mission Statement: To provide playgroups for our children, to provide support for moms, to provide parent/family activities. Our members are moms of children from newborn to school age. However, the friendships we have made do not end once our children start school and outgrow the club. We maintain a current alumni roster and stay in contact with our “graduates.”
Being a mom encompasses joy, stress, good times and rough times – all of which are easier when shared with friends who have either been there or are going through the same experiences at the same time. Our club is for ourselves, our children and our community. We are better parents when we feel understood and have the support of others. We are better people when we contribute to the community through our charitable endeavors.
Our
playgroups provide socialization for our kids as well as the moms! HBMC
playgroups meet weekly with various start times at parks throughout the
surrounding area.
Each playgroup has a group representative. This person sets up the group’s
park schedule and posts it for HBMC members.
In addition the club holds parties, special outings with the kids, and mom's
night outs.
In order for our playgroups to be successful, each member must be committed
to it. Regular attendance is encouraged, and we ask that you email if you
will not be there. Also, it is helpful to everyone if you stay home when
your kids are sick.
Since being a mom often involves some financial sacrifices, our dues for members are free. Joining the group is as simple as going to the YahooGroups site and filling out an online page with your information, which will then be approved by the site coordinator.
